The IBA

The International Bodyflight Association (IBA) was formed in 2003. We were the first of our kind and we led the field in designing and implementing training programs for wind tunnel instructors and flyers, and we also set the standard of safety that the industry enjoys today.

Since that time, the sport, and the industry, has grown significantly and we have continued to evolve. However, we still place safety and high-quality training at the very core of our business, and we support more than 42,000 flyers, coaches, and instructors in over 85 tunnels all over the world.

We provide a range of membership packages all of which focus on safety and progressive training. In doing so, we continue to support everyone involved in the amazing sport of Indoor Skydiving.

We work with the whole community, with a desire to progress with a very clear vision: to FLY - because that's what we love to; to do it TOGETHER - as one community so that everyone feels valued and involved; and to do it as SAFELY as possible.

Wherever you fly, you can be part of this amazing community by simply joining us today.

The IBA distinguishes between the sport of indoor skydiving (engaged in by patrons with IBA accounts seeking approval of flight skills though the IBA's Flight Progression System) and recreational flying (engaged in by entertainment customers who do not intend to pursue approval of skills). While indoor skydiving is safe for all ages, the inherent risk of the activity is necessarily greater for those engaging in the sport of indoor skydiving, particularly as they progress through more sophisticated maneuvers.
