The 2016 Competition Tour

The 2016 Competition Tour

The IBA is looking forward to an exciting 2016 Competition calendar. Indoor skydiving competition is heating up more every year and we aim to create the best events possible.

In order to support the growth of the sport and its flyers, we intend to organize and fully support 1 IBA National Event and 2 IBA Regional Events in the USA plus additional events around the world.

We believe that the best schedule of competitions is one suited to the lifestyles of flyers. The design is based around climate and popular skydiving events.

You can begin training for:

Regionals 1 - late March/early April

Nationals - Early October

Regionals 2 - Early December

Pending final decisions between tunnel operators and the IBA, the locations of these events will be announced by the end of December.

At each event, you can expect:

FS, VFS, Artistic, and Dynamic disciplines in classes from Rookie to Open

High-Quality Judging

Modest Registration Fees and Training Blocks

Photo & Video Coverage

Prizes

National Recognition

We invite you to set a goal and go for it.

Find a teammate. Fly every day. Get coaching.Be a coach. Watch your videos. Watch IBA tutorial videos. Attend League nights. Challenge yourself. Inspire yourself. Inspire your friends.

The IBA distinguishes between the sport of indoor skydiving (engaged in by patrons with IBA accounts seeking approval of flight skills though the IBA's Flight Progression System) and recreational flying (engaged in by entertainment customers who do not intend to pursue approval of skills). While indoor skydiving is safe for all ages, the inherent risk of the activity is necessarily greater for those engaging in the sport of indoor skydiving, particularly as they progress through more sophisticated maneuvers.
